Tang Yi, deputy director of Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Office and Deng Youman, deputy director of Guangzhou Municipal Intellectual Property Office attended and addressed the mobilization meeting on IP protection for the 111th China Import and Export Commodities Fair.The conference was convened on April 14 and attended by over 30 enforcement officials from the IP authorities at all levels in the province.

IP protection at the Fair is a crucial part of national IP efforts, said Tang. In a bid to create a sound environment where IP protection and commodity trafficking could go well in parallel, Tang required all on-site officials at the event to conduct fair and impartial enforcement and enhance law disseminations.

Deng was confident that by all the efforts made by those officials, the IP rights must be fully safeguarded at the event.

At the meeting, the processing procedures of dealing with patent complaints were duly introduced.
