Jiangsu Provincial People's Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Cooperation on IPR Protection with Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) in Nanjing on April 10. Vice Governor of Jiangsu He Quan and Commissioner of KIPO Lee Soo-won signed the MOU.
Under the MOU, both sides will establish a working mechanism for IPR cooperation, strengthen the exchange and cooperation in IP, drive corporate IPR protection, conduct IPR exhibiting and trading activities and promote IP talents training as so to mutually achieve a better and faster intellectual property development.
Before the signing, He Quan met with Lee Soo-won and his delegation. "Korea is skilled in IPR creation, protection and utilization, which can be used as reference for Jiangsu. We will strengthen coordination, carry out supporting polices and establish a long-term mechanism to create favorable conditions for both sides," said He Quan. He believed that Jiangsu and KIPO, under the support of Commissioner Lee Soo-won and the combined efforts of both sides, would achieve great results in the exchange and cooperation on IPR protection.
