Zhejiang: IP attorneys conducting roving commonweal lectures

2012/04/13

The first roving commonweal lecture on intellectual property protection was co-hosted by Zhejiang Provincial Intellectual Property Office and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Justice in Jiaxing on April 10.

In the following two months, attorneys in the province will deliver lectures on a wide rage of topics such as brand building, patent strategies, trade secret protection and IP culture establishment.

"With the increasing number of IP cases, IP judicial protection is badly needed," said Zhang Jingzhong, head of Zhejiang Attorney’s Association. "The purpose of conducting roving commonweal lectures is not only to provide a working platform for IP attorneys, but also increasing the IP awareness of enterprises in creating indigenous innovations and upgrading the development structures," added Zhang.

It is said that it’s the third time for the province to conduct such kind of activity. Last year, 20 attorneys delivered 41 free lectures to 3,600 participants in 10 municipalities and 19 counties in the province. [Chinese version is available on legaldaily.com.cn]
