Hubei: Jingmen issued measures on subsidizing patent applications

Lately, it is learnt from the IP working conference of the city that 2012 Patent Application Subsidiary Measures of Jingmen City was publicized. According to the Measures, enterprises that file more than 40 patent applications within one year will get 200 yuan for each application and individuals who file applications for invention patents will get 240 yuan for each filing. 

The Measures aims to encourage invention and innovation, raise Jingmen’s ability in IP creation, use, protection and management and promote the city’s patent applications. This time, enterprises filing large number of patent applications, invention patent applications and PCT applications will be mainly subsidized. Students at school will get 140 yuan for each application for utility model patent and 130 for each application for design patent. A person who files applications for both utility model patent and invention patent for the same invention or creation will get 350 yuan for each application; enterprises, universities and scientific institutions which file applications for both utility model patents and invention patents for the same invention or creation will get 380 yuan. Entities and individuals that apply for PCT patents will get 3,000 yuan for each application.[Chinese version is available on jmnews.cn]
