Lately, the Intellectual Property Office of Shanting District of Zaozhuang City in Shandong Province and the work station of Shancheng subdistrict office joined hands with the administrative office for industry and commerce and local police station to conduct joint administrative patent enforcement action. 

It is learnt that the enforcement action this time combined self-examination with spot inspection and inspected over 300 kinds of commodities and more than 600 drugs, of which 97 were patented products. In allusion to the non-standard patent logos, enforcers asked units under inspection to take off their products off the shelves and ordered them to rectify wrong dongs within a limited time. During the inspection, enforcers also publicized IP-related laws and regulations to supermarket principals and relevant persons and urged the stores and supermarkets to pay more attention to IP work. 

The joint action rectified non-standard IP protection actions in medicine industry and commercial sector, enhanced businesses’ IP awareness and built sound IP protection atmosphere. [Chinese version is available on SIPO.gov.cn]
