Organized by China Patent Protection Association and Japan IP Association (JIPA), on March 22, the 6th Chinese and Japanese Enterprise Cooperation Conference was smoothly conducted in Beijing, the capital city of China. Over 80 representatives from the IP sectors of Chinese and Japanese enterprises discussed the cultivation of patent elites for enterprises and the effective use of patent rights.
President of China Patent Protection Association Wang Jingchuan noted that the conference will not only raise the innovative ability of enterprises in both countries and their IP system utilization ability, but also build sound environment for the two countries’ development. Wang Jingchuan also said in recent years, China made notable achievements in the construction of IP legal framework and social system. In 2011, China filed 17,473 PCT patent applications. Wang emphasized that Chinese enterprises should strive to obtain more core technology patents.
JIPA Director-General denoted that in the past years, China’s IP cause experienced a rapid development and achieved remarkable results. The increase of patent applications filed by Japanese enterprises in China reflects Japanese enterprises’ confidence to China’s IP protection. [Chinese version is available on SIPO.gov.cn]
