Qinghai Provincial Administration for Culture, Press and Publication has recently made deployment to promote software legalization in net cafes and online service providers in view of protecting intellectual property rights in the Internet world.
The campaign will be conducted in three phases as reported, with enforcement officials first investigating the scenario on the use of legitimate software as well as the scale of infringing activities, then making specified plans to crack down upon illegal online games, private servers and pirated audiovisual products, and at last educating the operators in question and promoting IPR protection among the public.
The operation will target on net cafes, servers and online service providers across the province and is expected to strike a heavy blow on the offenders. [Chinese version is available on qhnews.com]
