To ensure a smooth development of various activities during the IP Publicity Week, Guangxi Provincial Intellectual Property Office convened a coordination conference on the preparation of 2012 IP Publicity Week. Representatives from the Propaganda Department of Guangxi Party Committee, all member organizations of Guangxi IPO, Guangxi Science and Technology Association, China (Guangxi) IPR Protection Assistance Center and Nanning Municipal Intellectual Property Office participated in the conference. Deputy Director of Guangxi IPO Wei Zhibian presided over and addressed the meeting.

On the meeting, attendees discussed the program of Guangxi on 2012 IP Publicity Week. Reportedly, the event, themed "cultivating IP culture and promoting public innovation", will be held in late April. The exact activities to be held include: releasing 2011 White Paper on the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights, patent consultation, display of geographical indication products, intellectual property training, etc. Furthermore, in a bid to let the public gradually accept the concept of IP culture, newspapers, radio, Internet and other media will be used to expand the impact of intellectual property rights in society. [Chinese version is available on sipo.gov.cn]
