Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, visited the development achievements exhibition of Chinese animation industry on March 16. Li pointed out animation industry input intellectual resources and output intellectual property and fully demonstrated the power of culture and S&T integration. 

Li visited the first award-winning animation works, watched the performance of animation creation at the National Museum of China. He communicated in depth with business representatives and affirmed the innovation achievements made by animation industry. Li said animation industry is a dynamic emerging sector in cultural industry and is irreplaceable in terms of spreading advanced culture, enriching people's spiritual and cultural life, promoting the healthy growth of the young and fostering new economic growth.

He pointed out that the government made a comprehensive deployment on promoting the development of cultural reform at the 6th Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee. China's cultural construction has ushered in a golden opportunity. Li required the cultural sector should conscientiously implement the spirit of the 6th Plenary Session to accelerate the pace of reform and innovation and promote the development and prosperity of animation industry. He also suggested building a technical innovation system featuring an integration of production, learning and research, cultivating competitive enterprises with indigenous innovation and strengthening the core competitiveness of Chinese animation industry.
