Shandong: Jining stressed on IPR protection

At an IPR meeting convened on March 9 in Jining, a city in Shandong province, participants summarized the accomplishments achieved in 2011 and discussed on proposals of further stepping up IP development and protection in 2012.

Jining is currently in a crucial period of economic development mode transformation and upgrading when IP strategies play an extremely important role in building Jining into an innovative city. Local government has taken steps to promote IP development as it is considered to be a strong drive for rapid economic growth.

IP-related departments in the city are required to set IP development goals and further implement IP strategies to raise the innovation capacities and improve IP working mechanisms. [Chinese version is available on sipo.gov.cn]
