Hunan yielded success in international patent filings

Patent applications under PCT in Hunan province recorded 405 in 2011, making it rank the seventh among 31 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) nationwide and the first among provinces in central China.

Hunan saw a 132.76% rise in filings under PCT, with 231 more than that of 2011, and attributed the outstanding achievements to Zoomlion and Sanygroup, two major entities in mechanical engineering industry in the province, which submitted 234 filings and 89 filings under PCT respectively, accounting for 57.78% and 21.98% of the total PCT filings of the province. 

By geography, Changsha topped all its counterparts in the province with 387 PCT filings, taking up 95% of the total in the province. [Chinese version is available on hnrb.voc.com.cn]
