On March 7, led by Tang Yi, deputy director general of Guangdong IP Office, enforcement officials of Guangdong IP Office, Zhongshan Municipal IP office, Dongguan Municipal IP Office, the Industrial and Commercial Bureau of Zhongshan City, Tertiary Industry Office of Shiqi District of Zhongshan, and other departments, launched inspection to several shopping malls in Zhongshan City.

The enforcement officials inspected bags, suitcases and leatherwares at Zhongshan Daxin New City Mall and illegal acts of patent counterfeiting were severely punished. Through the inspection, the departments aim to further guide and urge the market operators to raise the awareness of IP protection, conform to the norms on use of patent marks, maintain the order of market economy and create a good circumstance of IP protection.

During the enforcement inspection, Guangdong IP Office held a work meeting about joint efforts of province & cities (Zhongshan and Dongguan) in enforcement and the promotion of a "three-combats movement" in Zhongshan. The meeting mainly discussed the administrative enforcement of patent in the two cities and ways to further the joint enforcement and the special movement.
