As of now, Tibet has owned 76 ICH protection projects, said Director of the Bureau of Culture of Tibet Autonomous Region Nima Ciren on an annual cultural working conference in Lhasa.
In 2011, 16 projects were incorporated into the third batch of national ICH list, said Nima.
ICH inheritors in the region have amounted to 227, with 93 newly added in 2011. Last year, 7 counties and towns were named as "Home of Chinese Folk Culture and Art", with the total number reaching 19.
Tibet organized over 10 ICH projects for international ICH festivals last year.
Nima said Tibet recommended 35 applicants for the fourth batch of national ICH inheritors and selected out 30 ICH learning bases.
In 2012, Tibet will further the construction of ICH list system, study and formulate regulations on the protection of national ICH list projects.
