Gansu province convened a working conference on intellectual property in Lanzhou city, which concluded the IP work of 2011 and made a deployment for 2012 as well as delivered the directors' spirit of national IPR offices.Vice Governor Hao Yuan attended and addressed the meeting. Director of the provincial IP office Zhu Xiaoli made a report themed "keeping the truth-seeking and pioneering spirit to step up IPR work".

Hao Yuan said Gansu' IP work will focus on the economic reform and development for a certain period by integrating IP and technological innovation, advance IPR utilization and industrialization by cultivating SMEs and private economic entities with indigenous intellectual property, strengthen IPR enforcement and promote IP talents training.

Zhu Xiaoli highlighted scientific administration and IPR cultural construction and detailed the specific work to be carried out in 2012, including service capacity establishment and IPR publicity.

Groups making contribution to patent-related administration, protection, publicity and training were awarded on the meeting.

Over 130 specialists and officials attended the meeting.
