Recently, Li Qun, member of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and secretary of the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee, delivered a keynote speech on intellectual property at the second (enlarged) Standing Committee conference of the eleventh municipal party committee.

Li required relevant departments to further enforced IP strategies and enhance the innovation capacities, providing IP support in building Qingdao into a creative city.

He also called on local authorities to attached great importance to patent protection and development, pushing for the industrialization of patent achievements.

Finally he urged relevant agencies to cultivate a batch of creative enterprises owning indigenous innovations and competitive products, aiming to stimulate more businesses to create their innovations.
