In 2011, patent applications in Heilongjiang province reached 23,432, up 128% over 2010, of which, patent applications filed by enterprises amounted to 4,582, up 52%. There were 12 enterprises each filing more than 100 patent applications.
The breakthrough made in 2011 would take 10 years to finish if viewed from the past. Universities and colleges filed 4,217 patent applications, up 44%. As of December last year, valid invention patents reached 5,784, up 32.%. Invention patents per ten thousand people increased to 1.51, ranking 12th nationwide.
Patent applications are expected to reach over 20,000 this year. Invention patents per ten thousand people will reach 1.8; enterprises with competitive advantage in patents will add 30; the record filing of patent licensing contracts will be valued at 100 million yuan. Meanwhile, a series of other strategies will take into effect.
