Tian Lipu, Commissioner of China's State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) met with the Deputy Director of the Intellectual Property and Innovation Office of the Kyrgyz Republic, and other members of the visiting delegation in Beijing on February 22. Both sides exchanged views over the latest development and cooperation between two offices, and signed a bilateral cooperation plan for 2012, which means their cooperation enters a substantive stage.
Tian expressed his welcome to the delegation and conveyed his congratulations to the new Director of Kyrgyz IPO. He recalled the cooperation history between the two offices and introduced China's latest patent application data and patent prosecution highway. This year marks the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. China would like to further the cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the field of intellectual property so as to achieve a mutual development in economy, science and technology and trade, said Tian.
The Deputy Director expressed her appreciation over China's achievement in IP field and hoped to strengthen the cooperation with SIPO especially in examiner training and patent document exchange.
