British Chamber of Commerce (Guangdong) holds IPR Forum on March 15th

Foreign companies regularly neglect to register their IP rights in China, and are then powerless to prevent the manufacture and sale of copycat versions of their products, or unable to protect their trademarks in China. Hermes and Apple are all involved in trademark cases in China, one because of neglect trademark registration and the other due to trademark purchase dispute. China has been perceived as “the most problematic country regarding IPR enforcement” by European businesses.
 
However, China has also devoted itself in improving its IP protection system and its major IP laws, Patent Law and Trademark Law included are undergoing new amendments. How to protect IP in China is the common concern by all businessmen.
 
On March 15th, 2012, the British Chamber of Commerce (Guangdong) will hold an Intellectual Property Rights Forum in Guangzhou, which will invite speakers to share IPR expertise form rights filling and protection strategies to rights enforcement.
