Shenzhen Intellectual Property and Standardization Outline was issued recently, delineating that before 2015, a fully-functioned public service platform of IP and standardization will be established. The center is set to provide one-stop service to local enterprises in IP consultation, documents research, protection and evaluation.
Meanwhile, local academies and public research institutions are called on to license their patents to the city's excellent small- and medium-sized enterprises.
The Outline also defines 11 main categories of evaluating factors including the amount of international and domestic invention patent applications and grants, applications under PCT and the amount of Chinese Well-known Trademarks.
It is also stated clearly in the Outline that by 2015, the city will have owned 150,000 living patents and 180,000 living registered trademarks, and will have cultivated over 100 IP exemplary enterprises.
