Hubei to fight against IPR infringement and counterfeiting in 2012

Hubei will conduct crackdown on IPR infringement and counterfeiting in 2012. Cases satisfying criminal offence transferring standards will be transferred to judicial organs.

The tasks of the special action include: to investigate and punish violations of selling counterfeit and shoddy spirits, wine and cigarettes; to carry out the crackdown on counterfeit agricultural materials; to investigate violations of counterfeiting, commercial fraud and trade secret theft; and to investigate illegal online trading of goods.

The industrial and commercial departments will monitor the quality of goods in circulation field and investigate and punish violations of selling counterfeit and shoddy goods.
