Shenyang High-tech Development Zone, the first "National Intellectual Property (IP) Pilot Park" in Liaoning Province, has gone through a series of evaluation and been successfully recognized by an expert panel led by Hu Jialu, Deputy Inspector of Liaoning Provincial IP Office.
Shenyang High-tech Development Zone has achieved a leapfrog development in IP sector in the past three years by initially developing an IP environment and significantly increasing enterprises' IP awareness, which has effectively propelled the sustainable development of this park, concluded by the panel after report hearing, document retrieval and on-site inspection.
Since the Zone was listed as a national IP pilot park in March, 2009, it has continuously invested in IP sector and improved IP policy environment, resulting in the average growth of the filings for patent in general and patent for invention recording 36.37% and 45.15% respectively. More than 30 groups of technical experts have been attracted from other regions out of the Province and over 1,500 professionals in patent management, 125,000 workers and 21,000 technical R&D personnel have been cultivated in those three years.[Chinese version is available on SIPO.gov.cn]
