Hefei made a breakthrough in implementing famous brand strategy. 32 brands owned by 32 manufacturing enterprises in Hefei are expected to become Anhui provincial famous brands. In total, Hefei recorded 36 Anhui famous brands, ranking 1st in Anhui. 

Anhui launched the "Anhui famous brand" evaluation program in March, 2011. For the primary industry and the secondary industry, any enterprise possessing independent legal personality in Anhui and having trademarks registered in the province could file applications for “Anhui famous brands”. However, the third industry has to satisfy higher criteria. For example, hotels and catering enterprises should generate at least a primary income of 40 million yuan, and catering enterprises should be four-star or above. It is reported that 52 kinds of products held by 49 manufacturing enterprises filed applications.

After evaluation and examination, 192 Anhui famous brands initially stand out. Brands passing the reexamination will be officially awarded "Anhui famous brands". [Chinese version is available on hfxz.com.cn]
