Inner Mongolia vigorously implements trademark strategy

Industrial and commercial departments at all levels in Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region carry forward trademark strategy vigorously and formulate the program for trademark development in the “12th Five-Year Plan” period. Baotou Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce opened “Brand Story” in Baotou Daily. Tongliao municipal government released the Opinions on Implementing the Incentive Measures for Famous Trademarks and Geographical Indication Trademarks. Wulanchabu municipal government issued the Measures on the Identification and Protection of Famous Trademarks. “Wulanchabu Potato” was registered as a certification mark in a short time, which was highly approved by the local government.

A series of trademark featuring local resources and prairie culture are playing an important role in economic development. Inner Mongolia recorded 46,500 trademarks. The State Administration for Industry and Commerce newly identified 8 Chinese well-known trademarks, with Chinese well-known trademarks accumulating to 39. Geographical indications totaled 14.
