On February 1, the local criterion Norms on Enterprise IP Management in Ningbo (hereinafter referred to as Norms) came into effect. 

The Norms aims to provide a set of systematic and workable enterprise IP management criterion to guide enterprises to effectively manage their IP and construct scientific performance evaluation system on enterprise IP management, comprising 9 parts covering enterprise IP management system, enterprise IP creation and utilization, risk control and protection and information use. 

The Norms believes that enterprises should choose suitable IP management models taking account of the industry, development stage and scale. New small and medium-sized enterprises can take comprehensive IP management structure to manage all the IP issues, while scaled enterprises should set up special IP management section and deploy special IP managerial personnel. [Chinese version is available on cnnb.com.cn]
