Hunan gives priority to innovation

Since January 1, 2012, patent stakeholders could claim rights according to Hunan Patent Regulations ("Regulations"). According to the Regulation, an invention patent will be awarded with no less than 5 thousand yuan and a utility model or design will be awarded with no less than 2 thousand yuan.　　

Experts point out that the Regulations outline specific measures to establish public service platform and information database and provide public services in regards of policy guidance, technical consultation, information sharing and market exploration. In addition, patent intermediary institutions, industrial associations and business society will have regulations to go by.  [Chinese version is available on Hunan Daily]
