Fujian: First heavy ozone generator unveiled

China's first self-developed heavy ozone generator used to remove organic pollutants from drinking water was unveiled in Fuzhou, capital of the eastern coastal province. 

The high-tech machine is "one of the most advanced and largest generators worldwide that can be mass produced", said an industry expert. 

The proprietary technology will also help China reduce dependence on imported water purification machinery, experts say.
