To deeply carry out trademark strategy and expand the scale and influence of indigenous brands, Chizhou trademark promotion group recently released the "Twelfth-Five Year" Plan on Trademark Development.
The Plan outlines five goals as follows:
a) to integrate trademark strategy and economic development, improve indigenous innovation capacity and core competitiveness capacity and advance trademark development service;
b) to build Chizhou into a city which features trademark registration, administration, utilization and protection;
c) to ascertain the key areas of trademark development, particularly, to guide enterprises in industrial parks to file trademark applications and tap advantageous resources, to guide agriculture related enterprises to apply for trademarks and promote the registration of tourism trademarks;
d) to strengthen the publicity of trademark and promote the registration of well-known, famous and renowned trademarks; and
e) to stipulate supplementary measures to develop trademarks, including improve coordination mechanism and incentive mechanism.
According to the Plan, trademark registrations will reach 4,000 as of 2015, with 5 Chinese well-known trademarks, 100 provincial famous trademark, 200 municipal renowned trademarks and 5 indication trademarks. By then, Chizhou will have established 5 provincial trademark and brand bases and 8 renowned brand communities; and the trademark protection awareness of the society will have greatly improved and the trademark protection environment will get optimized.
