Recently, a development program on cultivating trademarks of Fuyang (2011-2015) was officially issued, delineating development goals in the next five years.
By 2015, a total of 5,000 trademarks will have been registered in the city, in which, 200 will have been international trademark applications, 500 will have been on agricultural products, another 500 will have been associated with service industry. In addition, the city will have owned 3 China Well-known Trademarks, 15 Zhejiang Famous Trademarks, 25 Hangzhou Notable Trademarks and 100 Fuyang Renowned Trademarks.
Statistics show that as of the end of 2010, Fuyang has owned a total of 3,322 valid trademarks including 105 international trademark registrations, 384 trademarks on agricultural products, 383 trademarks of service industry, 9 China Well-known Trademarks, 36 Zhejiang Famous Trademarks, 90 Hangzhou Notable Trademarks, and 184 Fuyang Renowned Trademarks. One provincial trademark cultivation base has been established and two trademark demonstration towns in Hangzhou have been recognized, ranking the 49th among 100 exemplary towns across China.
In a bid to further promote the process of trademark development, local governmental departments joined hands to provide better service on trademark cultivation by conducting joint conferences on enforcing trademark strategies.
