2011/12/12

In a bid to improve patent administrative enforcement level and provide better service to entities and the public to effectively protect their rights, a symposium on patent disputes was convened in Foshan, Guangdong province on December 7.

At the meeting, officials listened to the grievances and suggestions of parties involved in patent disputes and required relevant departments to step up the process of developing IP long-term mechanisms.

Officials also made remarks in their speeches on IP cases and shared their handling experience with others. They also put forward their proposals for processing IP cases, especially patent dispute cases.

Foshan Intellectual Property Office prepared a detailed list of parties involved in patent disputes filed in recent years so that officials could effectively reach the targets during the return visit.

By conducting the return visit, Foshan pledged to further improve the IP awareness of enterprises, enhance their capabilities in IP utility and strengthen their market competitiveness. [Chinese version is available on sipo.gov.cn]
