The State Administration for Industry and Commerce newly identified 478 Chinese well-known trademarks, of which 48 belong to Zhejiang province. Up to now, Zhejiang has owned 406 well-known trademarks and maintained a leading position in this regard.
Zhejiang has been implementing such key strategies as "fostering brand province and promoting the transformation of economic development mode" and "innovation-oriented province". Brand construction has been put on government agenda and regarded as an indicator of government performance.
The value created by well-known trademarks has accounted 1/10 of the gross industrial output value.In addition, industrial and commercial departments at various levels actively promoted changing administrative means to encourage the cultivation of brands.
A series of symposia and trainings were held for enterprises. A sound bottom-up brand mechanism "renowned trademark---provincial famous trademark---Chinese well-known trademark" has been formed.
Among the newly identified 48 well-known trademarks, 41 are from manufacturing industry, 6 from farm industry and 1 from service industry.
