Hubei: Patent applications in Xiaogan hit historic high record

2011/11/24

As of the end of October 2011, Xiaogan, a city of Hubei province, has received 751 patent applications, up 50%, in which, 438 applications have been granted. Of all those applications, 211 were on inventions and 34 of them were granted. Enterprises have submitted 482 applications and 301 of them have been granted.

The city attributed these achievements to the efforts made by the municipal science and technology bureau and the municipal intellectual property office. The two offices enhanced IP-related disseminations and increased enterprises' awareness of IP protection and innovation creation.
