Hubei: Wuhan Customs Investigated the Most Serious IP Infringing Case in 2011

Recently, Yichang Customs (subordinate to Wuhan Customs)uncovered 44,880 cans of tinned red kidney beans suspected of infringing intellectual property rights. 

The goods to be exported to Oman and valued at 89,380 yuan were already withheld by the Customs. 

Several days ago, an enterprises declared a batch of goods branded HONGMEI. An experienced official determined to inspect the goods. After opening the containers, the official found that the trademark pattern was identical with the one registered by COFCO in customs system. Later, COFCO confirmed the goods infringed their trademarks.
