Jilin: Four measures taken to promote IP development

Ji'an, a city in Northeastern China's Jilin province, has taken a series of measures to promote intellectual property development according to the deployment of the State Intellectual Property Office.

The city enhanced dissemination on the importance of IPR protection and increased protection consciousness of the public by conducting trainings and distributing leaflets. Since the beginning of this year, it has handed out 5,000 pieces of dissemination materials, conducted lectures and consulting activities for two times and provided consulting service to over 80 people.

The city also pledged to create a better IP environment by visiting enterprises and providing services face to face.

Ji'an is famous for its ginseng product which is the key to the city's pillar industry. A batch of drug enterprises making full use of the natural resources have already obtained many patents in this regard.

Relevant departments also strived to provide better service to promote a healthy development of intellectual property rights by strengthening initial application review and cooperating with local IP agencies.
