12 products in Gansu protected by national GI system

Gansu Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has achieved significant accomplishments in implementing trademark strategies as a result of two years hard working. 12 products in the province have been incorporated into national geographical indication system. A batch of famous brands such as Lanzhou Lily and Pingliang Apple have become the name cards of the province.

In addition, supporting by the Bureau, some brands including Tianzhu white yak and Maqu yak are applying for GI protection now.

Recently, the Bureau has also assisted one local company named Lanzhou Electric Cooperation to apply for the exemption from inspection, striving to obtain the first inspection-free export commodity within 2011.
