2011 Shenyang (China) Fair on Patent Technology kicked off on September 22. More than 2,000 patents were exhibited at the fair and over 800 of them were about biomedicine and energy-saving.
Attendees from northeastern China's provinces and Northeast Asian areas as well as the United States, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, North Korea, Ukraine and Singapore participated in the event, which was hosted by the State Intellectual Property Office, Liaoning Intellectual Property Office and Liaoning Small and Medium Enterprise Bureau, and organized by Shenyang Intellectual Property Office and Shengyang Science and Technology Bureau and Qipanshan EDZ Administrative Committee.
The government has promoted patent transfer among domestic and foreign enterprises, universities and research institutions by providing such a platform with free exhibition fee.
The event would conduct the exhibition of patent on biomedicine, medicine equipment, energy-saving, information and communication, and also provide services on patent protection and consulting.
Officials from the State Intellectual Property Office and some experts were invited to address issues on biomedicine at the event.
