Guizhou: 61 IP infringing cases cracked in 8 months

From October 2010 to June 2011, the municipal administrations for industry and commerce of Guiyang, capital city of southwestern China's Guizhou province, have investigated 61 cases of intellectual property violations and retrieved up to about 100 million yuan economic loss.

During this eight-month special campaign on combating IP theft and counterfeiting, the municipal administrations have inspected and confiscated 2,482 bars of branded cigarettes, 8,000 pairs of branded sneakers, 274 items of substandard food and 1,600 jars of forgery 'Laoganma' meat jam.
