Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province, launched a coordinated law enforcement action to investigate possible IPR infringement in Wuchang, Hongshan and Qingshan districts days ago. Chiefs of IPR offices at both municipal and district level participated in the action.
The enforcement team examined a pharmacy named Tianruikang and randomly checked more than 200 kinds of medicine. Officials took pictures to collect evidence for suspicious violations and ordered the storekeeper to take off from shelves the drugs that were actually unpatented but stuck with patent labels. They also educated the operator about IPR policies.
