Sichuan: Deyang completed its annual target of patent applications ahead of schedule

As of August, the number of patent applications in Deyang has reached 1,252, up 70%, in which, 240 are invention patents, up 8.6%. The city has fulfilled the annual target in this regard four months in advance.

During that period, the city has received 555 service invention patent applications, up 31.8%; while non-service invention patent applications have amounted to 697, up 120.6%.

The number of patent applications submitted by schools and institutions has increased rapidly, indicating that their intellectual property protection awareness has been greatly improved.

From January to August, 486 design patent applications were filed mostly by furniture manufacturing and tourism industries, jumping by 196.3% and accounting for 38.8% of the total amount.
