To welcome the sixth Expo Central China, purify the cultural market and create a sound social atmosphere, Shanxi Provincial Copyright Bureau started a special action to protect genuineness and curb piracy in early September this year.
The special action focused on investigating such infringements as producing, reproducing or selling exhibition flags, anthems, emblems, mascots and icons as well as exhibition hall architecture designs and performances and shows without permission.
Director of Copyright Management Division at Shanxi Provincial Copyright Bureau Ji Ping said that during the Expo, responsible departments should arrange law enforcement officers at various cultural markets. Once discovered, infringing goods should be immediately removed and infringers should be imposed penalties in line with laws. To bring into full play the supervisory role of the community, the Provincial Copyright Bureau opened a reporting hotline 0351-4922148 for the public to provide clues under the "Measures for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights during Exhibitions".
