Henan: Zhengzhou to have over 200 famous trademarks by 2015

Zhengzhou will have more than 200 famous and prestigious trademarks in 2015, envisioned by the city's IPR development plan for the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" released on September 7.

According to the plan, by 2015, Zhengzhou's patent filings will reach 16 thousand and its patent grants will amount to 10 thousand; every 10 thousand people will have more than 3.3 invention patents and the applications and grants of foreign-related patents will double those in 2010. In the next five years, the city will have 45 thousand registered trademarks (including 20 national famous trademarks and 300 provincial well-known trademarks) and have no less than five GI products; it would also develop 50 additional IPR advantageous enterprises and 10 IP-intensive regions and help 70% above-scale businesses in IPR cluster area file their first-ever patents, effectively enhancing their ability on IPR creation, utilization, protection and administration.

Meanwhile, Zhengzhou will also develop a modern cluster for service industry by cultivating a batch of famous trademarks, striving to own more than 200 well-known trademarks in 2015.
