Guiding Regulations on Overseas IP Early-warning for Beijing Enterprises

2011/09/08

Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office released the Guiding Regulations on Overseas Intellectual Property Early-warning for Beijing Enterprises ("Regulations"). For enterprises in Beijing to enter overseas markets, they will secure a new set of IP early-warning strategies.

When exploring overseas market, domestic enterprises are constantly encountering IP disputes, which pose a great economic threat on enterprises and even the whole industry. The special fund for patent risk warning can only facilitate a limited number of key enterprises. Most enterprises still face potential IP risks.

In a bid to offer enterprises professional IP early-warning support and enhance their defence capacity to address overseas IP risks, Beijing IPO compiled the Guiding Regulations on Overseas IP Early-warning for Beijing Enterprises based on the former experiences against overseas IP risks.

The Regulations provide more detailed operational procedures and efficient approaches to patent early-warning, including patent data retrieval and filter, data comparative analysis, patent infringement analysis and risk averse.
