A national intellectual property training on agriculture was held in Lhasa City of Tibet Autonomous Region from August 3 to 6. Over 100 representatives from agricultural research institutes, colleges and seed companies attended this event.
Deputy Director of Tibet Science and Technology Department Jiang Chunmao introduced Tibet's IP initiative. Based on the fact that Tibet has filed no new varieties of plants, the training thus focused on the illustration of international IP development, protection of new varieties of plants and application for new varieties of agricultural plants.
