Huai'an in Jiangsu strongly combating IPR violations

Following the requirement of the State Council (the Cabinet) on cracking down upon violations of intellectual property rights (IPR) and production and distribution of fake and inferior products, Huai'an, a city in Jiangsu Province, has actively fought against all kinds of IPR infringements in the first half of this year, with the local environment on cultural publication and online copyright being continually purified, reported the municipal Administration for Culture, Radio, Film, Television and Press. 

During the first six months, competent authorities in the city have taken 1,268 actions in investigations, dealt with 12 administrative cases, organized three law enforcement activities, examined all kinds of operation sites for 5,820 times, confiscated 52 thousand pieces of illegal audio-visual discs, 31 thousand of copyright infringing books and 12 thousand pieces of illegal newspapers.
