Fujian: Provisional Rewarding Measures of Quanzhou on Reporting IPR Violations

Provisional Rewarding Measures of Quanzhou on Reporting IPR Violations, enacted by Quanzhou Municipal Intellectual Property Office, will take into effect on August 4.

The Measures clearly state that illegal acts involving patent, trademark, copyright, business secret, geographical indication, new plant variety and integrated circuit layout fall in the scope of intellectual property rights violations. Such acts are subject to revelation or exposure.

The rewarding measures for a verified reporting outline as follows:

Provided the conclusion agrees with reported facts, 800 to 100 yuan goes to the ones who provide detailed illegal facts, clues and partial evidences and directly support investigation;

Provided the conclusion basically agrees with reported facts, 500 to 800 yuan goes to the ones who do not directly assist the investigation but provide illegal clues;

Provided the conclusion agrees or basically agrees with reported facts, 100 to 500 yuan goes to the ones who conduct doubtful or speculative reports;

Once approved, no limitation in remuneration for the ones who make great contribution to the investigation of intellectual property cases.
 
It is the first time for a prefecture-level city of Fujian to implement such rewarding measures.
