Guangdong: New low-cost anti-cancer medicine

An anti-cancer injection has been termed a medicine with bright prospects by the World Intellectual Property Organization due to its efficacy and price.

The new medicine with full intellectual property rights was developed by Zhongshan University.

"It can cut off the nutrient supply and metabolic channels of cancer cells to kill tumors," said Professor Huang Wenlin, leader of the project. "Few countries are conducting such research and China leads the world in this technology."

The research team has finished the second phase of clinical tests in 11 hospitals and received high grades.
