Guangxi: Copies include soaps, cellphones

An exhibition to illustrate recent achievements in fighting counterfeits was recently held in Nanning, capital of the autonomous region.

The exhibits ranged from cheap soaps and lotions to expensive wines and cellphones. Many looked so like the true products in size, packaging and even bar codes that customers could not tell the difference unless they were placed beside the actual brands.

Law enforcement officers said the copycat products were seized in Nanning's wholesale market, ready to be shipped and sold in small shops in the countryside.
