Sentences, fines over copyrights

China's national office fighting pornography and illegal publications announced on July 28 that sentences have been passed in 10 out of 35 major criminal cases.

The prosecutions covered copyright violations in diverse fields including publications, software, e-books and videos.

Those convicted were sentenced to prison terms ranging from six months to six years and fined 10,000 ($1,552) to 100,000 yuan.
