During the past seven months since November 2010 when the crackdown campaign launched, Heze, a city in Shandong Province, had checked over 22,850 enterprises, public institutions and various private industrial and commercial sectors; investigated 4,610 IP cases involved with IP infringement and the production and sale of counterfeit goods, with 119 being transferred to judicial organs; arrested 136 suspects, confiscated 41,320 pieces of infringing goods and fined more than 9 million yuan.
During the special campaign, Heze focused on the crackdown of trademark infringement, production and sale of counterfeit and shoddy goods as well as pirated software. It also conducted a series of special rectification activities targeting food and drug markets, trademark printing, festival marketplaces and electronic product markets.
