The institute's total revenue from patent and technology licensing is projected to double last year's figure, much of it from overseas companies.

An intellectual property commercialization center at the SIBS now helps the institute industrialize innovation.

After a SIBS researcher fills out an application, the center can arrange follow-up procedures including value estimates, patent protection and licensing.
