A special team consisting of officials of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) came to Shaanxi to supervise the special campaigns conducted there to combat intellectual property infringement and counterfeit commodities.

The officials heard reports, during a meeting, on the progress made in the special campaign and commended Shaanxi for the remarkable accomplishments achieved. They also required relevant departments in the province to actively explore an effective long-term mechanism on IP protection.

After the meeting, the officials investigated a shopping center in Xi'an and inspected an IP aid center in the city on its management systems, workload and workflow of hotline 12330, and proposed further requirements on IP protection.

Later the officials left Xi'an for Hanzhong, a city in Shaanxi, to check out the situations there. They also received reports on the progress achieved and the existing problems in the special campaign and put a premium on the development made in the city.

They also analyzed and discussed on the necessity and feasibility in setting up an IP protection aid center in the city and called for further efforts to strengthen local IP enforcement.

At last, they inspected several local businesses and required relevant departments to further enhance IP administration.
